I am experiencing the same thing, if you do a search, you will find a lot of posts about this. I believe it is a common issue.

When your driving environment changes (usually when it gets a bit hotter outside), your ECU has a bit of a brain fart. It needs to "learn" the existing conditions. This may take a few driving cycles for it to adapt. Try NOT to "help" it by giving it gas. This only confuses the ECU and will take it longer to learn. Let it have a few near death experiences. In time, it will "smarten up".

NOTE: This is assuming that something has not broken or failed on your car. You will know this if the car will not learn after a few driving cycles.

Mine started to do this last year. I now have the Check Engine Light on and it stalls more often than not.
Something has died. I'm trying to get the blink codes out but the diagnostic pinning is different on the UK cars!

Check your plugs. Even if you THINK theyre good, check your plugs. Mine did that, I checked the plugs and they werent totally gone but almost. So I went ahead and changed them and problem solved.

My car is reporting an intake air temperature fault.
Not sure where the temperature sensor is though.

It's on the intake manifold, next to the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator.

Cheers Brian.
I'll take a look in the morning. All this good weather and I'm driving a clutchless diesel A class. Life sucks.
