Default Eneos fullsyn oil - #1 in Japan?

Hi guys,

Saw this oil today at the auto parts store. Was 11.99 a quart! Says its number 1 in Japan and I was just curious if anyone has ever used it before...and why its so expensive and special??

I don't think it will hurt anything. Give it a try and report back to us.

I have been using it for the last 5 years on all my cars. That is a really high price for it, should be more like $7-9 per quart depending on the weight used. 0-20, 5-20, and 5-30 tend to be around 7-8 a quart more popular. I run 5w40 and it goes for a bit more 8.50/quart. Great oil and holds up really well on the track and for daily driving. I use it in all of my honda and my BMW.

I may give the ENEOS 5w30 a shot for my next few oil changes. Make sure to get the newer GF-5 formula if you try it!
