If you had unlimited funds you might find out that super-charging and turbo-charging are not mutually exclusive. You can do both.
Of course, with no funds limit I'd want to see just how far beyond 9K RPM our engines could be modified to run to (yeah, with unobtanium or pneumatic valve springs).
