Emerg Brake?

Default Emerg Brake?

My emergency brake is a bit lose does anyone know how to tighten it??

There is an adjustment nut in the linkage under the console. There is a rod connected to the ebrake handle and going to a connector with two cables going to the rear brakes. The adjustment nut is on that connector.

Is their a DIY for this with pics? I ask because for one i would like to see them so i know what im about to do. Secondly because if theirs not i will make one when i do it.

Pardon my ignornace, but WTF is an emergency brake? Does a parachute fly out the back of the car?

its the hand brake, not sure what you call out over there.

We call it the hand brake too. I wouldn't use it in an emergency though!

I probably wouldn't. I'm more likely to use the gears to slow me down, hazard lights flashing, then pop the clutch in/out to stop...had to do that with my MX5 after the master cylinder ruptured.

Each to their own though.
