I originally started a thread a few weeks back about the emanage.
Well we have logged 10k miles on this setup in various weather and driving conditions with our turbocharged s2k and we have encountered something that we had not hoped for.
The past few weeks have been in the high 90's and we have experienced detonation on our car after 8k rpm. No matter how rich the a/f is at it would just audibly detonate. This is because of the lack of timing control. We highly recommend that a timing retard device is utilized with the emanage such as the J&S unit. We were a bit dissapointed with our findings but thats why we took the liberty of extensively testing the kit and this particular setup before releasing it on the market.
However we will release this kit (stage 2) for sale next week but with a strong recommendation to incorporate some type of timing retard.
This has prompted us to develop a stage 3. The stage 3 will incorporate the same kit that we currently offer however it will include a full plug and play ecu from microtech. This is very similar to how the AEM mates up top the car however it is much more user friendly and offers great performance potential.
We are expecting stage 3 to be ready by December of this year. It will come with pre tuned maps up to 12psi including injectors and fuel pump and will have full capability to control every aspect of engine management. We currently utilize this computer on other turbo kits that we manufacture and are very pleased with results.
Some of the key features are:
Running True Sequential, Phased Sequential or Simultaneous Injection with individual cylinder trim
Run Low or High impedance injectors
Full 150 mJ of Spark Energy directly to the plugs without misfire
New Dual Rev Limiters with

http://www.spool-turbo.com/emanage.html
Check out the above link in regards to the emanage on our car.
A side note we have not encountered any detonation with our stage 1 FMU setup. It has performed flawlessly. We also are offering our kit with no electronics or fuel managment for those of you that would like to utilize your own form of fuel management such as AEM ect. This will be offered as stage 0
Pricing on stage 0 is here:
http://www.spool-turbo.com/S2000.html
It is priced at a very affordable $4295.
We also have made some minor adjustments to our kits. The ceramic coating is now good for 3000 degrees and the I/C plumbing will be made of high polished stainless steel.

Keep up the good work Terry. So far you appear to be taking a lead in the fabrication of a true plug and play turbo kit. Your making it hard for me to chose between NA and turbo. And if you're going to run 12psi on stock internals and 93 pump gas, this all adds up to awesome.
One question, probably been asked before, but when is the turbo fully spooled up on your kit.

Thanks guys
In regards to spool up time, boost onset (when it starts building boost) is 2000 rpm. Full boost onset is attained at 2900 rpm. From 2900 rpm to redline its a full boost affair
8psi will be the maximum recommended level on 93 octane and the 12psi maps will be for race fuel

Terry, I was asking for for stage 3 kit about a month ago and you said it was not available. Now I just got my vortech delivered. I appreciate your efforts and testing your system before it's released. Hope you have good luck with your systems. Maybe someday I'll trade SC for the Turbo....
