Default Electronic Torque Wrench

hey guys. i am trying to get an electronic torque wrench. it would be pretty much used for swapping wheels in and out (switching between summer and winter wheels). so, what kind of wrench to get? 1/2", 3/8" or 1/4"? do i need to get matching socket kit? (as you can tell, i am not that mechanically inclined!!)

any recommendation for an electronic wrench?

thanks a lot.

if its just for wheels dont spend money on an electronic one. get a cheap 1/2 inch drive one.

a good electronic torque wrench is going to run $3-400.. way overkill for just wheels... This is coming from someone who owns 3 $450 snap on torque wrenches. 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive, all measure angle as well.

I recommend a click type torque wrench but thats just my preference. If it's for switching wheels, get a half inch. If you have a 1/2" 19mm socket, you won't need to purchase a set.

Does anybody know anything about this? Seems like a decent tool but the price kind of makes me weary...

I have a 1/2" snap on beam type and would probably never buy anything but beam again. I had a snap on click type and it was a piece of ****. With that said, if its not constantly being used everyday your not going to need the top of the line wrench. Go get a nice craftsman 1/2" and it should last you a while and if it ever breaks just get a new one for free!

Honestly, for what you want it for, buy a crappy harbor freight click type and go.

I agree. Just make sure you use it properly. Pull it nice and smoothly. Don't yank it, as that will give you a torque spike and thus an inaccurate reading
