Default Electrical Problems

Greetings everyone on s2ki! I've been having several problems with the switches and lights of the car. I am unable to unlock/lock my the car with the alarm remote, also the trunk solenoid will not respond to the alarm either. The speedometer back lights also do not turn on after the first or second click of the headlight controls. And the tail light running lamps are also out. I thought I would first address the my tail light running lamps so I went down to the local pep boys to pick up a set of new bulbs. After replacing the bulbs I found out the tail lights still would not light up.

Note: The other lights such as headlight, turn signal, brake light, reverse light, etc are all in working order.

I always also told by my mechanic that there is a shortage somewhere, could the shortage be the cause of all my electrical problems?

Thanks for reading !

First thing to check though are your fuses. There are a handful of fuses related to DRL, dash lights, keyless entry.

You definitely want to check underhood fuses 5, 26, 27

Does your convertible top switch work?

Sorry, I meant under dash fuses, not under hood. Let us know if that fixes it.
