Ecu's

Ecu's
I've gotten to the stage where I'm not sure what to do to the s2k next. I have full stainless exhaust (stock extractors), air intake, 4.77 gears, coilovers, clutch, light flywheel and ap2 rims. All mods that don't require a tune up. So basically my question is, if I put after market injectors for example, in is there any way to tune the stock ecu? Or is my only next option an after market ecu? If so, are there decent ecu's out there around the $1000 mark worth buying? Or should I be preparing to pay around the $2000 mark. Also if anyone has any good mods not requiring a tune that I have missed I would love to here about them. Thanks guys!

Lots of useful info on this subforum: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/forum/231...nt-by-hondata/ as far as your ECU question is concerned. An aftermarket intake like K&N FIPK has minimal power gains but requires no tune. I'd do it just for the sound.

Ap2's after 2006 went to drive by wire and you could use Hondata to tune the ecu. Every model before 2006 has OBD2 so you have to use an aftermarket ecu like the Haltech or AEM EMS V2, both run around $1,300 USD.

So I just came across an AEM Fic 30-1912 piggy back. Wasn't heaps keen to spend $1300 for minimal gains as I have no turbo, and then I find these for $400! Has any ran one on there n/a set up or know someone who has? What are the major cons to a piggy back? I can't find any reviews on an n/a motor any where
