ECU relocation question
After installing a vafc, the harness is a big'ol mess. it would seem the best way to make it fit properly would be to move the ECU up about 3-4 inches, from what i have seen it looks like there is room to manuver it, are there any problems with moving it from the stock location?

I did that and couldn't suspend it by the bolts so I wrapped it in a cushoned bubble wrap and it worked fine. I only did that for a couple of months. No long term trial.

I've had the ECU in it's stock location with a Frogtech harness for a VAFC and currently an E-manage and it fits fine. I'm about to swap it for an AEM which is a larger unit. I'll eventually use a Frogtech ECU relocation but I'm not waiting for it to arrive.

I am doing what you are doing Aus and it does not fit for me. Perhaps my wiring was not as neat. I was able to put the plastic piece back into place over it, but it bulges out and I can't really use my dead petal, unless my foot were only 3 inches wide.

Assuming you used a harness...
Try tucking in all the harness wire underneath and behind the ECU. Although there is very little space to work with...there is just enough room to get the harness block and wires to fit near flush with the ECU. Once done, use a ziptip to replace the most inner clip (near the clutch) to hold the panel. The panel is rather flexible and by using a ziptie you can further tighten the panel and make it sit flush.
I can use 100% of my dead pedal and although the panel slight buldges where the harness block is I've have no "foot clearance" issues at all.
