There are several DTC's that can be set by removing the convertor or secondary 02.

P0420= when the convertor is no longer working or removed this is set. The PCM compares both 02 sensor readings to determine. This is a 2 trip DTC, which means the fault has to occur 2x for the DTC to set.

P0141= secondary 02 heater failure. If the secondary 02 is removed, this DTC is set. this is a continuous monitor by the PCM. On the 1st failure, the DTC will set. P0141 will set after about 5 secs of running. If you do not want to leave the 02 plugged in under the car, you can run a 13ohm, 10watt resistor wired into the heater circuit.

The 02 sim creates a signal to "fool" the stock PCM into thinking there is a convertor installed and functioning.
