It's a spoon knock-off, not a J's. Hood cutting is not required for a Spoon snorkel.
where did he said that it doesn't fit. he said it's a Spoon knock-off and hood cutting is not required.

i'm not mad that it doesn't fit under the hood. i just want to let people know that this style doesn't fit without cutting the hood. there are other style out there that i know will fit under the hood but they look too restrictive at bend for the radiator support. i got this one because it didn't look as restrictive in the pics but then again, it doesn't fit under the stock hood either.

you can always cut your OEM hood if you want.

This is J's knock off notice the notches on the side and the groove where it alines with the airbox.
The spoon knock off should not have them.
The vendor must of sent the wrong style,
with certain J's Ducts you must cut your oem hood

You could try to adjust your hood latch but I don't believe that will even give you enough clearance.

J's make two, one for OEM hoods and V-Type which require the V-type hood or hood cut.

i don't really think cutting the hood would even clear it. it's going to require an after market hood.

What you received doesn't match the picture in the Ebay listing.

"10 mins to install" Would be accurate if you remove the hood.

Now you just need an Ebay J's V-Type hood.

Or a real one for $1200.00 unpainted

what's the difference between J's V-Type hood vs. Seibon MG hood. they both look very similar. does one have more clearance for the intake snorkel than the other.

Spending money on an hood for a modification that doesn't do much other than look cool and sound a little different doesn't make much sense. Buy the real Spoon snorkle and skip the hood.
