Dynoed my S2K...
Today I did a dyno with my S2000. I'm still a little disappointed with the result.
Result:
226.6 HP motor
188.1 WHP
204.5 Nm
I know that the F20C is not always the power announced. But here, with 2-3 modifications, I wonder if this is normal.
Mods done:
- Password JDM air box
- Sard 200 cell cat.
- Cat-back T1R 70R-EM
What do you thnik about this?

Only one run.

When was your last tuneup? Spark plug change, etc. What is that test pipe you are running? Diameter?

it depends on what kind of dyno machine it was tested upon, what kind of dyno did you use, was it an eddy current dyno or inertia type dyno ?. Most of the info you see posted on this site comes from Dynojet dynos which can produce numbers different than other type of dynos.
Dynapack dynos register higher numbers than Dynojet dynos, Dynojet dynos register numbers higher than Mustang Dynos. Comparing numbers from different dyno's isn't possible. And backwards motor hp calculations aren't very accurate. I wouldn't worry much about those numbers unless you have comparable info from other s2000's on the same dyno machine shop.

185-200whp is the typcial range for the f20c. the variance you see is typically differences in the dyno.
just because yours is showing on the low end doesnt always mean something is wrong.
you should directly compare it with Another s2000 ran on the same dyno. and compare your numbers that way.

I don't have a test pipe but a metal cat (200cell) from Sard.
The Dyno is a Bosch FLA 206.
Sparkplug... never change :-(
What do you mean with "tuneup"???

I see. You wont see much gain/benefit from the T1R unless you use a test pipe. But I know in some places regulations are hard on those. Probly a good time to swap out plugs but not for dyno numbers (Doubt new plugs will improve the numbers) but for the sake of the 'Tune Up'. A mild Tune Up is were you change the plugs, air filter, oil change, etc.
Having said all that your numbers look normal now. I bet you'll hit around 198WHP+ with a test pipe

Ok, I will change my plugs in ~1000 miles. The air filter, motor oil, etc... was done.
For the test pire, in Switzerland where I live, the road regulation is very very hard with this modification! This is why I ride a sport cat.
Thank you for all your answer. That's really cool.
