There is no such thing as too little backpressure. In fact, the catalytic converter probably provides more back pressure than the exhaust anyways. But again, too little backpressure is not an issue.

In terms of your low hp - old oil can reduce hp a bit, but not by the 10 hp/10 lbs-ft you're down.

Did you warm the car up sufficiently? The F20C responds with more power over a series of runs. Socal28's stock car made 3 consecutive runs and gained 1-2 hp each run to peak on the third one, and he didn't even try a 4th!.

What was your tire pressure? Low pressure can cost hp.

Are you running stock wheels? Larger, heavier wheels will cost a couple of hp.

Try a valve adjustment, just might help.

Hope you find the missing hp before you do the EMS, otherwise your gains will be uncertain.

I think a good chunk of your problem is those monster 18"ers you're running. Dyno with the stock wheel/tire combo on the back and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. S2000 shouldn't be run with 18's if you're going for max performance.

It's hard to tell how much you're not gaining without a baseline, but I know the feeling.
I didn't get a baseline either, and regret it. I dyno'd my car last week and only got 201.1 hp and 136 tq with the following mods:
Mugen CAI
Mugen header
J's N1 exhaust (single)

It was a hot day, but it was SAE corrected

I really don't think runs from different dynos can be compared but I have the Mugen header and exhaust and my best run show 206.8 / 142.0

I'm not one of them. VTEC for me has never been so pronounced.

Below is a pic from my first dyno run at 1100 miles, then with Injen CAI and some other minor mods, and finally with Mugen header @ 7000miles.

Dyno was done at apprx 4900 ft.

Vtec seems to be retarded above a certain altitude...to say nothing of the loss of hp (the dyno is standardized for sea level, actual rwhp was ~175)

Don't have dyno from Colorado Springs but the Vtec feels as if it doesn't kick until 6500 rpm and we are at 6000 ft.
