Dyno - Stock 04 vs Stock pre 04 ?
Has anyone done stock vs stock on the 2.2l 04 vs the pre 04?
I'm interested in the results, as in the UK we dont get the 2.2l and there was some discussion on another Honda board i visit about it. However I cant find anything
Help appreciated

Additionally, of the 3 threads that I have seen, the results of the pre-04 dynos have all been relatively consistent, but the results of the 04 dynos have been all over the board. All of the threads seem to end up in some sort of flame war. I'll paraphrase here, so no one has to search:
The 2003 S2000s made ~200rwhp.
The 2004 S2000s made a) ~200-205rwhp b) 215rwhp c) 225rwhp ... (choose only one).
If you choose "a", the convo goes like this:
Side 1: That sounds about right, since the peak power is rated the same (240hp) by the factory.
Side 2: But what about the other dyno(s) that showed much higher output.
Side 1: They were flukes.
Side 2: But they were more scientific.
Side 1: I don't care, 2.0 liters rule.
Side 2: There's no replacement for displacement.
Side 1: You're a fag.
Side 2: You're a hippie.
If you choose "b", the convo goes like this:
Side 1: Yeah, but that car wasn't stock.
Side 2: But can an intake make 15hp by itself?
Side 1: It doesn't matter, it's not a fair comparison.
Side 2: But it's close to what the other high dyno showed.
Side 1: Go smoke a pole.
Side 2: Go hug a tree.
If you choose "c", the convo goes like this:
Side 1: That's a press car, it must be a ringer.
Side 2: But the measurements were very scientific.
Side 1: You only sampled a single car, and not multiple ones. Could be a fluke. Or a ringer.
Side 2: But the numbers match our "real world tests".
Side 1: Sphincter spelunker.
Side 2: Dolphin lover.
OK... so there's more detail in the actual threads, but probably more name calling, too.
In essence, no one really agrees on what the actual power output of the 04s is. But I think even the non-believers know that the 04 is slightly faster, overall.
