I got REAL SHITTY numbers. Embarassing even. Think something was not right?

1}182 whp / ??? wtq
2}Dynojet
3}Spoon intake snorkle, Spoon drop-in filter, gutted air box, JIC exhaust
4}didn't check speed
5}2001
6}Fourth gear

I will be getting my VAFC installed and tuned in the Spring. But I was very disappointed with these numbers

Its not the #'s to worry about it's all about the delta!!! Your fine with that, all dyno's are different even though they might be of the same brand. Also check out my dyno sheet here: http://www.p1auto.com/jack/F20C/todas2k.htm see its not all about #'s as you can see on the link its all about your delta. ~nate

Just out of curiosity......how come all the SC numbers are soooo different.....i mean you got high 200's to low 300's between them....what gives??? If I bolt on JUST a comptech SC with aftercooler, what kind of numbers can I expect....assuming I do NOTHING else.....

Thanks.....

Dynoed today. 73k miles, the V-AFC isn't set either

209 hp 140 torque, what impresses me is that I made just shy of 130 lbft at just 4700 rpms, 120 lbft at 3500 rpms. Peak torque was at 6400. My torque curve is very flat and the dyno is proven to be pretty damn accurate. Also, the car had been idling for almost 30 minutes prior to the run and so was very very hot. I'm yet to run into an N/A S2000 that I don't outrun, especially down low. I just got a strong S2000.

Mobile Dynojet, done indoors and corrected for temp

Comptech intake, HKS Exhaust, Type1 test pipe, V-AFC (untuned)

didn't check speed

4th gear

I'm gonna bring the car back to the dyno to get the V-afc tuned. I went from 196 stock to 208 on just the V-AFC 50 thousand miles ago. I don't foresee any problem getting 215 hp and 155 torque.

Hey, Sideways,

Those are some cool numbers. I've never seen anyone get much over 215 hp with a stock setup. And I've never got more than right at 150 for torque. Any chance we can get together and you can educate me a bit? I can always use a few more ponies.

Thanks,

Jim Knapp

Cool stuff VTECHnology,

And yeah, most folks rave about the HP of this little 2 liter. but it's really the torque curve that is the amazing part of the motor. But I really don't like the torque drop you show between 4700 and 6000. I think that's from the VTEC not coming on until 6k, right? You might try just wiring a toggle switch to the thing and flip it on to feed it 12v. whenever you're over about 4000 rpm. I bet it'll flatten that curve even more.

All the best,
