I was reading an article about Romano Performance in Brisbane, as reported in Auto Speed, achieving a 27% gain with minor mods - a large part with the exhaust, claiming the S2k is quite restrictive.
However, I'm confused by the numbers they quote, "OK, a dead standard car puts out about 152hp at the wheels. (Because our dyno sheets are in hp, we'll use those units from now on.) With a flywheel figure of a (claimed) 236 hp, 152 at the wheel represents a 35 per cent drivetrain and tyre loss - .........."
All the dyno numbers I've seen on this site have been substantially higher than 152hp at the wheels. Or, so I thought.
They go on to say they gained 14% with larger exhaust boxes and free-flow design.

I think they're either trying to sell you something, or they're smoking something. From what I've read, our exhaust is anything but restrictive. Adding an aftermarket dual outlet exhaust has rearly increased HP, or even lost some. They dyno sheets that I have seen on this board have for the most part been right around or under 200 RWHP.

This thing comes and goes about every three months. You pegged it. The stock dyno number is falsely low. Also, the stock exhaust is not at all restrictive due to the extra large mufflers. That's why we're not seeing big improvements from anyone else's exhaust. Ignore that website.

Yes, we have the same power output as you. We don't use "Dynojet" dynamometers though but "Dyno Dynamics" which intrinsically give lower power numbers (don't ask me why). The original number is correct, the claimed "after" number is a lie. Several of us went up against a car with that exhaust on the track and passed it.

Thanks mate, it sounded fishy to me as well; even if I can't spell.
