I recently had my VAFC tuned with the following mods.

- Comptech CAI
- Speed Throttle Body
- Toda Header
- Speed Test Pipe
- Fujitsubo Dual Exhaust

*these 3 charts and identical minus the cursor indication*

I was impressed more with the tq gains than hp gains as I show a stead 3~4 ft/lbs gain through out the powerband. Much more in the mid range and high end than other places. VTEC engagement has been lowered to 5500rpms.

The A/F ratio is right around mid to high13's through the powerband.
Max. Lean @ 13.81 (5700 rpms)
Max. Rich @ 12.81 (5400 rpms)

Are these gains similar to those others have experienced with VAFC tuning? Also, I'd like to know what others think of my A/F ratio. (too high/low???)

Any suggestions/opinions welcome.

Looks like you gained sub-20hp and around 15lb/ft at the largest area before vtec.

How does the car drive now?

Would it have been unsafe to lean it out further from 4,500 to 5,200? Just wondering if there may be more power there. Nonetheless, still good.

Did you ever baseline your car when it was stock to see how much gain your mods made? Looks good for just vafc tuning.

Looks nice, but I suspect that the observed gains from 30 - 52 and 60 - 70 might not be "real" considering the AFRs. Is it possible that the engine was too cold or hot for the 3rd pull, then just right for the 9th pull? Was there a change in climate between pull 3 and 9? It also looks like you could smooth out the VTEC transition even more by smoothing the AFRs even more, and possibly lowering VTEC further.

Run 003 became my baseline as there was an initial problem with my VAFC setting that made the car cut out @ an unusual RPM. There must have been at least a 15~20 minute pause between runs 002--->003.

Run 009 was the last in the series and the tuner placed a fan over the intake manifold to reduce heat soak. Not sure if this usual or unusual for tuning.

I asked the tuner to drop VTEC about 500~600 points. I guess it could have been further dropped.
Could you tell me more about this part:

Basically you want VTEC to engage as low as it can without causing a power loss. Since your power curve still shows a sharp power increase (bump) at VTEC engagement, you can still lower it more.
