i dynoed today on a mustang dyno...
new oem plugs, mobile1 10w30, ap2 header, invidia testpipe, vafc and i got 184 max hrs pwr and plenty of mid range gained. very happy with this result after reading that some stock ap1's are doing in 160's bone stock

[QUOTE] A T1R 70RR will give you the best bang for the buck when it comes to exhaust
Also IMO the Megan header will also give you the best bang for the buck when it comes to headers.
I hit 212 Hp and 140 Tq with this setup using a VAFCII to tune.....Think about it,
from 185 to 212 Hp a gain of 27 Hp This is on the same dyno under very similar conditions. [CODE]

I have a mugen style snorkel and a HKS 3" single exhaust and I put down 218hp at the wheels on a dyno dynamics!!! I plan to get my valves adjusted and tune with a newly installed apexi neo and plan to make around 238whp!! Stick to the mods that are simple and make sense.

238?? hmm kinda big for what you have done. Not doubting you but I was at the dyno last weekend and know what the S is capable of. I am missing the intake and exhaust which would put you to 5-10 give or take a few. That would put you at 215-220ish at the wheel. Below is the dyno sheet with modified air box, AP2 header (designed almost identical to toda have dyno's to prove it) Invidia test pipe, and VAFC II.

If you read his post again es-too-kay he is making 212 at the wheels. He's HOPING to make 238 with a valve adjustment and an apexi-neo tune, which is doubtful. The apexi-neo won't gain you much more over the VAFCII, maybe 5-10 if you're lucky, and unless your valves were WAY loose, you wont gain more than 1-2 hp from tightening them.

I read that. I wasnt being a hater I was looking at the number 238. Thats why I said I am not doubting him but I was letting him know where others stood that would be very similair to his build.

Sorry but I'm willing to bet that dyno dynamics dynomometer was in shootout mode or the operator gave you a dynojet number. 218whp on a dyno dynamics is 246whp dynojet A snorkel nets you 0hp when your not moving, and 3" exhaust simply will not net you 25whp. I've had well over 10 dynos on a dyno dynamics, worked across the street from Aussie Imports, the original importer of Dyno Dynamics, the company I worked for sold them and held nationwide dyno days, not to mention I personally know the owner at Aussie. I've seen an unsightly amount of S2K's on the dyno, so I know what I'm talking about. Dyno Dynamics says dynojet numbers can be calculated by adding 13% to their numbers.

It took, Flywheel, VAFC tune and my ghetto single (I'm assuming didnt make any power) to make 193Dyno Dynamics and 218whp dynojet. I dynoed 188whp stock dyno dynamics and 212 dynojet. I should currently be around 200whp without a tune, thats 226 dynojet. I assure you those were not true dyno dynamics numbers, we call DD numbers euro hp and the dyno itself the confidence breaker lol.

Stock 2000-2001's commonly only make 160-170whp on a dyno dynamics due to extremely rich tuning. 2002-2003's make in the 180's for whp. 2004+ make 190's for whp. Not trying to be an jerk just trying to inform
