Dumping the exhaust on a na motor?
I am looking for a little advice. I am thinking of putting a QTP electric exhaust cut out on my 00 s2k. Reason: I want it to sound like an F1 car but still have the option of stock pleasantness when I need to take mom out on Sundays. So my question is where would be the best place to put the cut out? Am I going to hurt performance doing this. Ie: poor exhaust tuning for an NA setup = lost performance. Can I put it just after the cat or would this be my loss in performance? Where might it sound the best?
Thanks for your time

Hmmm good Q.
Well, over a 70mm complete exhaust and youd lose a lot of low end grunt.
But a cut out is different. Definitely after the cat.. I would say right before the Y cut (latest spot possible) if you did it at all.
But I wouldnt recommend it.

I would do it... My friend just put one on his Audi A4 and it sounds amazing. It came with a nice little lit switch too. Also it shouldnt cost you more then 300 total which isnt bad. It might not get you much, if any extra power but no exhaust will (except maybe the singles which still dont give significant gains). Go for it
