I dont think those kits really exist, they just put on outrageous price tag in there to avoid having to really put out!

I have looked at your website in great detail! I think i will be going with the drysump.com kit. Their oil pan is 2.9" tall from the deck. If you don't mind me asking, how tall is yours and how much did it cost to DIY? I'm picking up my project next weekend and I'm using a coveland chassis. I'd love to talk to you more about fitting the f20c into a lotus 7 as you seem to be one of the few who's actually accomplished it.
There is a member that is building one as well. He said after he dealt with the dry sump, he then needed to deal with the transmission/Clutch/Bell housing. They all hang just as low as the oil pan.

That is what I remember from his posts.

The rear of the trans still has to go up a bit in this picture but not much.

I guess one needs another type of gearbox (sequential?) and a multi disk (smaller diameter) clutch & flywheel (how do you start it without the starter motor reaching the flywheel?) to really be able to drop the engine.

I'm going to subscribe since i'm looking for a Lotus 7/S2000 project. I have seen these built numerous times and I'm not sure why a F20C would have any more/less problems then any other setup.

My project is currently for sale if you're interested. Just don't have enough time to work on it with my senior year of mechanical engineering studies coming up.

In my installation the engine is angled down towards the front of the car to keep the engine under the hood. This means that the sump was several inches closer to the ground than the bellhousing. Drysumping the engine allowed me to have about the same clearance at the front edge of the block and the cut down bellhousing.

There are two quality F20C drysump systems available from RED & DMRR

I have built a Dax Rush (Lotus-7 clone) with an S2000 engine, gearbox and Jenvey 50mm ITB's. The engine suits the car really well and the lack of torque in the S2000 isnt a problem in a Lotus-7 as it typically has 1/2 the weight to lug about.
My friend, Gerry has built a very similar car and has fitted the dry sump kit from Race Engine Design (R.E.D) who are based near Telford in the UK. The kit is very good but unfortunately the guy who runs the place John Beattie doesnt have much idea about customer service.....
See www.HondaRush.com for some pics of Gerry's setup.
Remember that if you decide to fit a dry sump then fitting a supercharger at a later date may not be possible as the dry sump pump takes up space and uses a toothed belt that runs to an extra pulley that gets sandwiched to the main crank pulley. A typical centrifugal supercharger cant use a ribbed belt and must run a multi-v belt so it gets very messy / impossible to do.
(On a lotus-7 setup the supercharger usually goes where the aircon pump used to be but the same location gets occupied by the dry sump pump....)

Very hard to disagree with that statement.

My F20C is fitted in a Quantum Xtreme. You can increase the torque quite substantially by dropping the V-tec point to 4600-4700 and using a Motec M400 (awaiting delivery of the new Motec Magnesium M110 Sport) I am able to run multiple maps (4). I Currently have a power map and a std map. These are changed by the use of a simple toggle switch on the fly. Currently the car is in pieces as I'm rebuilding it to run E85.
