Driveshaft/Transmission Tail Flange Bolt Pattern
Hey all,
I wanted to know if anyone had a circular bolt pattern dimensions for the very beginning of the drive shaft (where it bolts onto the tail-housing flange of the transmission)
I am putting an AP1 drive train into a street truck project and need to convert the tail flange on the transmission to accept a regular U-Joint (I need alot of travel for the application I am using it on as well as pinion angle change)
I have seen some aftermarket manufacturers who just use an adapter plate (made of 7075 aluminum I think) that bolts onto the transmission tail flange and converts it to a u-joint style mounting flange.
This is exactly what I am looking to do. I am going to try to purchase it from one of these manufacturers but just in case its way too expensive or they wont sell it to me without buying the drive shaft, I would like to get one custom made.
Through my work I have plenty of access to machining at very low costs so if need be I will go that route.
Thanks for your help!
