Yeah I had to cut half of mine off when I was pulling my diff. Those things would strip very easily. Pain in the ass.

If you dremel a couple of them, some of the others will loose a little tension and will come out with a allen wrench (stripped sockets an all). With the driveshaft gone, you can grab the remaining stumps of bolts with visegrips. They will unscrew easily as there will be no torque on them. At least thats the way mine went.

I soak mine for a couple hours in pb blaster and use an imparct to get them out. You don't have to lower anything at all just use the parking brake and twist the driveshaft as you need and reapply the parking brake. If you cut the heads off you can heat the bolts and vice grip them off. They are a softer metal by design. Puddydaddy usually has some stronger bolts if thats what you are looking for.

Heat doesn't work? Get it glowing red, it'll come out.

Well... unless there's something nearby that will be ruined by a torch.

I'm still new to this car.

thanks guys i actually tried everthing you guys said and the only one that worked was cutting the heads off. Thanks for all the responses i dont know what i would do without you guys lol. Last question tho...im reinstalling a new diff. i just had a question on how to get both wheel driveshafts into the diff at the same time. They only compress about an inch if that and they are impossible to get in. I can get one but the other side wont clear im not sure what to do?

You need to have the lower control arm unbolted from the shock and balljoint to get the axels to go in.

The ball joint can be a bitch. The first time I changed my diff, I couldnt get the ball joint apart (no tool for it) so I unbolted the upper control arm at the chassis instead. This sucks too because the bolt is hard to pull out (springs get in the way). Just keep trying. You'll get it one way or another.
