i have this click/clunk aswell when lifting off the clutch in second (basically when the drivetrain is engaged and almost like the prop shaft has play in it) i was told it is the axle nuts that need to be removed greased and re-torqued to 220 ft lbs. I find this hard to believe and im still yet to try it as i have not got a socket big enough but will be trying it at the weekend if i get a chance.

you do seem to be having the same problem as me!

i only replaced my diff 3 weeks ago due to another problem and the noise was there before and after so im ruling out the diff for the moment, im going to try greasing and re-torqing those axle nuts before i start panicing though, but if you see me panic you will know why il let you now how i get on and do the same if you have any luck

I got the exactly same symptoms as the OP. It's not the heatshield above the cat and it's not the cat itself. The cluth was changed 5000km ago, but I'm quite sure it has nothing to do with that. And adbdas2k, what is this problem you mentioned: "are the techies right about it only happeing in 00-01? again, i have an 02 and have the same symptoms as what was listed on the thread." Haven't found it out... Sorry.

do any of you have a decel rattle/vibration at low rpms?

I am pretty sure I have the decel buzz at higher RPM's, but if I let it decel under 3k, it has a lower tone, and emits more of a vibration.
