I've had great experience cutting CF using fiberglass reinforced abrasive cutting discs. They are much stronger and thinner for faster and more accurate cuts.

Once you finish, set sand using 60-80 grit waterproof sandpaper with sanding block to straighten out the edge, then finish with higher girt sandpaper.
