Default The dreaded P0325!

Morning all,

So I've had a CEL coming on and off for the past couple of weeks, I've noticed some strange correlations too. Firstly, my car will generally idle no problem, however when the CEL comes on (accompanied by the P0325 code) the car will struggle to idle. It'll never stall, but it feels like it is struggling.

This CEL will turn off, for days at a time, then come back on at random intervals. I have also noticed (and this is definitely not a coincidence) that it generally comes on when the weather is cold/wet.

I have a few questions, and if anybody could help me out that'd be great. Soooo, questions:

Does it sound like this is genuinely a faulty knock sensor, or could it be something else that is causing this? I ask because surely the sensor is either broken (in which case a CEL will always be present?), or it isn't.

Will my car be okay to drive when the CEL isn't on? (I will drive carefully/avoid vtec etc)

I have called some Honda dealers, who want £194 for a new sensor (Or £285 fitted), but I have found it at the below site for $138, would you trust this to be a genuine Honda part?:
http://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuine...0-PCX-003.html

I am happy to change the sensor myself, however I am yet to find a picture online of the location of it on an engine that is out of the car. A picture of where exactly it is on the engine will really help me to replace it.

That's about it folks, again if anybody can help I would really appreciate it!

It's next to the starter on the block itself. Yes that is a genuine Honda part. An impact is usually what knocks them out of commission, was the starter replaced on the car? That's usually what breaks them, careless mechanic reaching for the top starter bolt.

Thanks for the reply! I believe it was yes, I have only owned it for 6 months though.

Another question i'm afraid, the site above won't ship to the UK. Do you guys know of any reasonable US suppliers that ship to the UK?
