Why not just leave the car level? is there an advantage to raising the front end vs keeping all four tires on the ground, level?
The disadvantage is my short arms can't reach the drain bold if the car is level plus an oil pan doesn't fit if the car isn't raised.
Get one of these Fumoto valves and you can change your oil by raising the hood. Just slide the catch pan under with your foot. That is it. No burned, oily fingers and lost bolt. It works great on all my cars. You can put a tube on the nipple and drain the exact desired amount into bottles or anything you want for a super clean drain. No pan needed.

I have one on my STI and its fantastic. I have yet to put one on the S2K since I autocross it, I am paranoid that a cone will open it by accident lol

You don't even need this. Before my car was boosted I just reached down for the drain bolt. No need to jack

I tightened it up so the lever was in the top position. Since you have to push and rotate to move lever, something is not likely to move it. If it does move it, I have way bigger problems and the car is most likely beyond drivable!

Put front on ramps and drain the oil. Them get your OEM scissor jack or any jack really and jack the back up to level the car out. Let it sit for a minute to get all the left over oil. Then put the jack back down.

This. There is no advantage, the only advantage is to have the car sitting with the plug-side low so that 99 percent of the oil drains. I don't even jack mine up, I just use a long extension and reach under the side and remove/drain and replace. Stock suspension leaves just enough room to slide a catch pan underneath.

I wouldn't risk this, if anything ever snagged the valve handle or it came open on its own that would be bye-bye F20/22. No thanks.

Oh holy crap! LOL, I didn't even see that guy. Well, he might get lucky if the ride height of the car is high enough... The other dude's pelvis will be flat as a pancake though.
