Sorry to revive an old thread but what's described here is a pretty accurate representation of a noise I only just heard tonight.

I'm curious as to what the OP did or if anyone else has had this noise?

I have a 2002 with this noise also. A while back, someone on here told me it's normal but now I don't know.

I think I have the same noise on my '02. It pretty much goes away when the A/C is turned off. Most of the threads I have read make it seem normal.
