No, that's 11.6 hp per psi because a stock S2k makes approx 200 rwhp.
70/6=11.6666
200 + (11.6 * 8) = 292.8
That's the theory anyways.. however.. my dyno charts show w/ head gasket ..
262 @ 6 psi = 10.3 rwhp per psi
311 @ 8 psi = 13.875 rwhp per psi
324 @ 8 psi w/ additional fuel tuning = 15.5 rwhp
I personally don't think that the hp per psi is linear based on those numbers, so who knows, maybe it's right..
When I saw it at NOPI I did notice that there was alot more piping from the turbo to the intercooler, this should lose spool up time, but I dont believe it would affect peak hp considering that it is preasurized air. After having spoke with turbonetics they seemed to agree, however they said that any restiction after the intercooler would affect hp....
Also, there is more tubing because the BOV is not vented to the atmosphere..
Just my thoughts.. I am neutral on the subject as you can see.

Keep in my mind the DRAG turbo and intercooler are both smaller than the ones Speedcraft uses. DRAG uses a T3/T4 and Speedcraft uses a Super 60-1 which is a T4 housing... not a T3/T4 hybrid. Chris is right... it's not a linear increase, but I was trying to show how unrealisitic it is to jump from 271 RWHP at 7 psi to 325 RWHP at 8 psi.

I called about the Drag Kit yesterday.
Apparently it is not in production and the existing kit has been sold to some dude in Australia. They owner of the existing kit suggested I look up Speedcraft.
Regarding a race between Comptech and Drag....
I did a graph of the horsepower and torque of the two dynos. Drag has more area under the curve for horsepower between 3k-8k rpm. Drag also has more area under the curve for torque between 3k-8k. In fact Drag builds almost all of its torque by 4k rpm where as comptech does not until 8.5k

I'm disappointed to see the lil number drag turbo kit is producing. They have avg. produce that kind of number on the drag Civic Si turbo kit. 260-270 rwhp. If you tune it with afc and add injectors. Even more power. On the 2.2 Liter prelude motor. They put out around 300 rwhp on 10 pd boost. The question come down to, what exact parts was used in the Drag turbo s2000. I'm not sure if that was a prototype or just something they made to show their company's capablity. The speed craft turbo kit is a great kit. But very high in pricing. I would like to see someone do a 9.5 compression piston and run a higher boost and maybe with a aem stand alone. I'm sure the speed craft kit will put out a lot more power. This is still a very new car and over period of time. More tuners will look into the car and make more hardcore tunning kit for it. I do hope drag come out with a new kit and run a bigger turbo and Tial wastegate, I'm not a big fan of the delta gate. and 2.75 inch pipings with maybe a 24x11x3.5 size intercooler. The turbonectics t3/t04 stage 5 turbo or To4x turbo
The manifold from speedcraft and headgasket are great. If anyone is building a street s2000 turbo kit. Save yourself the trouble. and buy their parts. Turbo kit wise, build your own If you have access to a good machine shop. If not, but their kit.
There's plent of board members here running the comptech charger, most of you love your blower, a few have modified with b.o.v., intercooler, and customer pulley(1Randyc) nice job.
And I have been in contact with the Vortech guys. Their kit is running a air/water intercooler with vortech bypass valve and a 9 pound of boost, with bigger blower, and also electronice piggy back. That's all the information I have so far. Price and hp specs are not out yet. I'm pretty sure they will make a pretty compatible kit.
If above choices don't suit you. Go hardcore, build your own spoon motor. I have seen a couple jap s2 putting out huge numbers with all motor parts/built motor.
This is the place we all share information. This is just my own opinion
