Default DRAG Turbo Kit

I remembered that this kit was introduced at about the same time the Speed Craft Turbo hit the market. Has anyone tried this kit out?

The DRAG kit can be ordered from www.Car-Salon.com:

"The Car Audio Plus S2000 uses a Drag Turbo Kit forcing

7psi with an air/fuel of 12.1 and produces 271.2 HP

with a max torque of 180.0 running on pumped gas.

The Drag Turbo Kit is available through Car Audio Plus for

$5200.00 and is ready to ship today!

(334) 260-8700"

-Grabbed that from C-West S2k..hope you don't mind.

Here's a link to Street Tuners that has some information on the kit.

With the boost upped to 8lbs Bird has hit 325 hp at the wheels

271 hp???? Seems mighty low for a turbo at 7 psi.

Yeah, I think thats one of the reasons why there wasn't a lot of hype about the kit...The Speed Craft Turbo came out at the same time and the hype caused be their kit shadowed over DRAG kit. I personally prefer the Show Look of the DRAG kit, but the power that the Speed Craft kit can deliver.

I'm just curious if anyone has heard anything else about this kit.

I know that the manifolds from DRAG SUCK... for the Civics/Integras and the likes. But I heard that the manifolds on the DRAG kit for the S2000 is made by a completely different company. It's supposed to be pretty good actually.... Well, thats all I know about the DRAG kit. Oh, and also that they have way too much piping....

Man.. 271hp? But boost it up a lil, and more power!!! I wonder which would be faster though, between a Comptech SC'ed S2K, and a DRAG TC'ed S2K, both pushing factory boost.

This kit did seem to compete more along the lines of the Comptech SC, rather than the Speed Craft kit. I'd love to see a race between the DRAG kit, Speed Craft kit, and the Comptech SC. That be interesting to watch.

Yeah, I guess you can say that I am...but that doesn't keep me from finding out more information on available kits. I may not want to go the route of having someone smog my car and pass it...but I still like to keep my options open.

Sometimes I really hate California

The drag kit uses a smaller less efficient turbo... has a smaller (ie. less efficient) intercooler and has enough piping to build an overseas pipeline and is only $1K less than a Speedcraft kit. It produces about the same power that the Speedcraft kit produces at 4 psi. It wouldn't make for a very good race with a Speedcraft equipped car. It might be interesting for about 10 feet...
