Door locks acting up
I go to unlock my car today using the remote and I find that the driver's side door isn't properly unlocking. It will momentarily unlock, and then quickly lock again. The lock switch on the door panel also appears to swing freely. I'm not sure what's going on. Is it possibly something is jammed in the locking mechanism's path? This used to happen on a '99 Civic I owned, but only when it was cold. It's not that cold right now in the northwest so I don't think that's the reason. Anyone deal with this before?

The switch is broken, and it appears to be part of the handle, so you need a new handle. Mine just did the same thing. I took the door panel off and took out the rod that attaches to the switch on the handle.
I also had to play around with it to get it to function correctly, some combination like lifting the door handle and pulling on that rod at the same time. Now my key fob works OK. Haven't gotten around to getting a new handle yet though.
