does the s2000 computer take over the vafc's settings over a period of time?
if this is true, how often would i need to re-dyno tune my car?

V-AFC users with properly setup V-AFCs don't have to reset anything ... ever. I suspect that you either have your Lo / Hi throttle settings set too low, or your tuner made fuel corrections in the Lo throttle maps.
A correctly setup V-AFC should have all Lo throttle maps set to 0. It should also have higher than default Lo / Hi throttle settings. When my Lo / Hi throttle settings were default (10% / 50%), the ECU would tune around the V-AFC corrections in less than a week. This caused my WOT power to suck, and my engine to run rough and jumpy at narrow throttle. I tried resetting the ECU every 4 days for a while, but since a freshly reset ECU runs rich during normal driving, my spark plugs started to foul. Eventually, I set my Lo / Hi throttle settings to 80% / 81%, and it fixed it. I never had to reset the ECU again, and it got rid of several annoying side effects of the V-AFC. I never really understood why anyone would want the V-AFC to do anything below 80% throttle anyway. Why would you want to mess with a perfectly good factory tuned ECU for another 5 HP, when you aren't even giving it full throttle?

great info gernby!
hows the progress of your " coustom wideband fuel/ vtec controller" comming along? if it was availible, I know myself and a lot of other s2000 owners would give you a pretty penny for that unit!
any projected release dates (should i save my v-afc II money?)

ok, good luck with it.
one more thing anyone, can the vafc II switch between 2 preset "maps" fairly quickly? I would want a nitrous map and a non-nitrous map. would i be able to just push a button or 2 if a race were to present it self, switching between my nitrous map and my non-nitrous map quickley.

I don't know if the V-AFC2 has 2 sets of maps. I know that the V-AFC1 didn't have that ability. My controller, on the other hand, will switch from 1 map to another on the fly when triggered by an external source (ie. A/B switch, Nitrous button, etc.).
