I've used seafoam on a TL. It was presented as a solution for many issues.

TL had about 110-120K on the motor at the time of use. 1 can in the tank, 1 in the oil and one sucked into the motor when running.

I ran the 100 miles on the oil. Changed and the filter was about twice the normal weight (no scale used).

My car didn't notice any improvements. MPG was unchanged and the idle felt the same. If it's possibly it might have felt a little more powerful but about that time I had a K&N filter dropped it. The wife commented on the power increase.

I believe the product to work well on dirty motors. I've not used it on the S because it runs on 91 and I use syn high mileage oil. I suspect there would be little to no gains. It will ruin mid to end of life spark plugs with a coating.

That said I'm at 69K and haven't lifted the valve cover to check for deposits.

If you run it. I'd advise avoid the redline. Stuff can be broken free and 8K is asking for trouble.

Using THREE cans is a bit much...

That's how it's to be used.

I had 95 9C1 (Caprice Police interceptor) with 120K. I used Seafoam (1/3 motor, 1/3 in an empty red light gas tank, & 1/3 of the bottle sucked through a vac line into the engine).

Started the car and within seconds thick white smoke blew out of the exhaust for 10 minutes. I could not see anything behind me. Drove to the gas station and filled up. Heavy foot for that entire tank of gas. After the tank was empty I changed oil and filter.

Gained approx. 2mpg
Noticeable increase in performance from that LT1
Police use cheap oil, but oil was changed @ 2500mile intervals according to vehicle log.

I repeated the process with my prelude @ 160K.
Fuel economy not affected.
Smoother engine acceleration.
Car has had Mobil oil from Honda its entire life.

A week later I did a tune up, replaced spark plugs, wires and fuel filter and that H22 felt brand new. Car has 215K and still running strong.

Hmmm... I think you have 3 cans mixed up with 1/3 a can.

well then his engine should be even cleaner. If you put any foreign substance into an engine, of course weird smoke is gonna pour out the back...so I dont think thats anything to measure cleaning by.

Also, what is the relation to group 1,2,3 and cleaning? isnt cleaning much to do with additives in the oil?

I wasn't measuring cleaning by the amount smoke, just the process and what happened.
You missed the increase in MPG and noticeable increase in performance part.

Since the Prelude used good oil most of its life seafoam did not have any affect.

i seafoamed my used tahoe truck. milage increased about 2mpg. thing still burns oil like a fat whore. every car i have owned from new never did, every car i have bought used has.

hoping to try one more dose of seafoam see if it burns less. or maybe switch to a high mileage oil. using penzoil synthetic in the truck. its cheapest synth at walmart.

High mileage oil helped my prelude burn less oil. From 1qt every 1,000 miles to 1 qt every 2500 miles.

which are 2 completely inaccurate ways of measuring things.
