Default Does the new Integra Type R (DC-5) Brembo 4pot calipers bolt up and work w/ the s2k??

Considering spoon's new 4 pot is universal between the DC-5 and the AP1, would the 4 pot stock brembo's on the DC-5 work out on our s2ks??? It should be a cheaper alternative to the spoon 4 pots. Anyone????

i am almost 100 percent sure it will work. considering the rsx type s and the s2000 share the exact same caliper and bracket, they should bolt up directly. my only concern was the rotor. i have a s2000 rotor at my shop but not a type s rotor so i dont know if the offsets are the same on the rotor. that would be the only difference if there is one. if you have a part number for these let me know, i have been looking for them for quite some time. my supplier can get them but only with a part number, so help us all out and find it, so i can help all you guys out.
the only other concern is fitting under the factory wheel. the reason i believe these are not available on the S in the is because if the standard 16 inch wheel. rsx type r comes with 17's stock, so there maybe a clearance issue with factory 16's on the S

hrmmm, I can get part #s for them easy. Besides the rotor spacing, what about brake lines???? that should also be checked b/c the brake lines may be at different angles. I'm running spoon wheels with 35mm offset, if they don't fit, I can't afford to get new wheels. Just looking for an affordable solution to the spoon 4pots. The OEM brembo calipers for the DC-5 can't be nearly as expensive as the spoon 4pots.

the brake lines are the least of your worries man, i can make steel braided ones for under a 100 bux front and rear. lines should be identical though. one thing that you are missing though, is that the 4 pot calipers are NOT for our stock rotors. the stock rotors on the type r i believe are 12 inches while ours is about 11.75 so in actuality, you need both calipers and rotors. still though, i believe the price should be under spoons 1500 price.

If this works, how much would the brembo calipers cost at the dealership?

unfortunately, even though they are available from honda of japan, they will not be sold in the US by honda. its an unfortunate thing that happens when something is available elsewhere and not here in the states. my friend was having the same dilema with a stock civic type r cam. must go through other sources to aquire JDM honda parts.

hate to burst your bubbles guys, but the price of the two brembo calipers plus the requisite parts (bolts and etc.) and shipping from Japan will most likely be more expensive than the Spoon calipers.

I would look into getting wilwood calipers. They have at least 2; 4 piston calipers. Im sure you can get hardware to work with your offset of the rotors. or you can upgrade towards a 2 piece floating rotor.

going with a aftermarket caliper and 2 piece rotor with Al hats, should shave about 4-8 pounds off unsprung mass and 1-2 pounds from rotational mass

remember, if you want better stopping times, just get better tires. if u want more get some carbotech pads

the only brakes in the honda family that are very similar are type-r (dc2 97-01) accord v6 wagon 98+ and prelude 97+ ?

otherwise nsx and other stuff is much different
