Does the pale yellow indicator just stay pale yellow until you are sputtering to a stop, or does it turn red? I would hope it does, and also flashes. Anyone with the guts/misfortune to find out?

I doubt anyone would know. I would assume it just stays yellow. Having it change color would require another switch and that would just be a waste of money on Honda's part. You could always run it out of gas and let us know for the sake of science.

I have probably gotten as close to physically possible without running out of gas.

the indicator does not change color or flash. it comes on and stays on til you run out of gas. that's why it's an indicator.

I ran out when I stopped at the light next to the gas station. It doesn't change colors.

Light comes on and about a gallon later, the engine dies. That is the final indicator that you're out of gas. If you're lucky, you can work it like Indy 500 and coast to that gas pump.

Not if you get gas from Costco!!!

The gas lines there remind me of the 70's!!! And I'm only 25!!!!

I've had the car for a week and the gauge does seem to go up and down a bit...
