Probably a slight leak. I had one that I ignored for years but am really happy to have better clutch feel (and no leak) with a new master cylinder.

Looks more like grease to me. A leak usually means fluid on the carpet and what not. If it feels fine and you are not losing fluid I would not worry about it.

Well when I push the clutch down all the way I still have a hard time changing gears if I'm not at the right rpm.. I have to turn off the car just to put it in reverse

try a bleed, it usually fixes small leaks and issues with the clutch engagement that is due to leaks. be sure to clean the reservoir.

OR.. your engagement adjustment could be off.. check the slave cylinder mounting bolts.

do a flush with new fluid. if fluid level drops over few hundred miles.. then you need a new master or slave.

my cluch pendal thingi looked the same as yours.. just wipe it down.. clean it up.. see if it comes back.
