Does this help at all for the S2K?
Hi All,
I'm in the habit of raising my hood after getting home to cool off the engine. I know this can't hurt but does it even help? I do this because I did it with my 95' RX-7 for almost 2 years and just got in the habit. I just leave the hood open in my garage to let air into the engine bay.
Thanks,
Archon

If you're not going to be driving the car right after you get home than there is no point. The engine should run better when it's cooler (hence why trackers pop the hood between runs). The only real benefit would be if your were racing and popped the hood between races.
