Does anyone have experience with a dash swap, air bag removal?
#1
Hi, im in the process of removing my black dash and installing a red one.
Does anyone have any advice that could help the process go more smoothly? I have a honda s2000 repair manual and Ill be getting help from a couple other s2000 owners but I just want to be prepared.
Should I have any concerns about removing the airbags temporarily, etc?
I dont want them blowing up in my face for no reason after we finish. =
Thanks in advance guys

Disconnect your battery so the airbag won't go off. The airbag should be connected with a yellow adapter. Make sure you drop the steering column when pulling the dash off. BTW, do you have the entire dash harness in the red dash? If not you would have to remove the wires from the black dash onto the red dash...t's gonna take a while cause you gotta know which plug goes where. Trust me it's a big batch of wires, approx. 10 plus on each end. Only problem you might have is disconnecting all the adapters on the driver side, it's tight back there. And make sure the dashboard sits flush with the firewall.

my red dash is just the shell, no wiring or anything, so it looks like ill hafta swap all the wires over from my black dash.
If there is anything else you guys can think of, please let me know
excellent info, Thanks again!
