There was a great video on this site about a month ago that was a "Five Lap Battle" of imports including an S2000 and other imports.

I think it was filmed in Japan. Was not in English. It was a large file but worth the download. It had cameras at all angles inside the cars including the pedals. It showed race car drivers using both methods.

GREAT VIDEO if you want to see how it's done. It happens kind of fast, so you have to watch closely.

But very worth it.

I now have it on my desk top but have no clue how to post it here.

Maybe someone can help with the link.

HELP!!!

My problem with the rolling would be fixed with bending the pedal, but since I didn't know that could be done, my solution was to take off my shoes. I'm quite proud of the dexterity I have in my toes.

I simply put my toes (and the balls of my feet to small extent) on the brake and my heel on the gas. Works incredibly well for me.

Of course, I know I should be wearing shoes, but if thats the only way to keep up with you older (er, more experienced) folk, thats what I gotta do...

Lol im 5'8-5'9 with size 13's with my dc's on i can cover brake and gas at once...I normally have to go up to 14's for the width of my foot to be right .Sad thing is my foot has been like this since i was 5'4".

If you're over 6 feet, you would have to have rubber knees to heel&toe properly in this car. The angles just don't work, and the foot rolling... is still awkward at best.

My $.02,

Tim

Had the RT bent pedal mod done today. Thanks, RT!

After one embarassingly bad attempt - my heel/toe days are ahead. It works beautifully. I used a subtle motion and also the "Best Motoring" technique.

hehe... I was psyched. Came home and told the wife - "I can heel and toe now!!!" and she looked at me as if I had one too many Azteca Iced Teas...
