Do some synthetics burn more than others?

I ran Amsoil in my GT once, but went Mobil 1 soon after just for the price (can't beat a 5 quart jug at Walmart for $22 ). However, I may try Amsoil or Redline the next oil change to see if I notice a difference. I'll research some other options and check out the NOACK as well.
Thanks!
Thanks!
You need to run an oil for at least two oil changes to judge its qualities. You don't get all the old oil out with one change.

My 2001 has 29k miles on it. Been using Mobil 1 Syn since 10k miles. No burning, maybe less than 1/2 quart down after 3k miles.

Though it may be a bit biased, I found a seemingly good oil analysis by Amsoil where they tested 10 other oils (some dino oil, some syn blend, and some full synthetic). Its a pdf about 7mb, but I can zip it and email it to anyone who is interested.
The test shows Pennsoil Platinum to be the second best in the test in terms of NOACK Volatility. So, I'm going to try it next oil change.
