I've heard the Amuse R1 single in person, and I thought it sounded nice from outside the car. There was a bit of droning in the cabin between 3000-4000 RPM, though... which is pretty much cruising speed. But at idle and normal driving, the exhaust was relatively subtle. It got a bit more noticeable at WOT, though.
Personally, if I were buying an exhaust for sound alone, that's the exhaust I'd go for. Since I'm buying mine for performance and weight savings only, I'm going with the Amuse R1000. I haven't received it yet, but from what I hear, it's ear-splitting loud. However, 12+whp gains and 55 lbs in weight loss should be noticeable.
Hey bro
someone posted a Video of LOTS of exhausts for the s2000 a while back
the thing that REALLY surprised me
Spoon(what i have) max decible was 123
Amuse r1000 was 125
i honestly dont hink 2 decible is that much.
And I DO NOT think my Spoon is loud..even at WOT at redline...to me sounds way car should sound. But there is droning 3-4k..but Im betting ALL singles have some drone

Haha! I just d/l'ed that video last night. While I was able to get a good feel for the change in tone between the various exhausts, I'm not sure how accurately the change in loudness was depicted. I'm just anxious to get my R1000 and find out how loud it is for myself. I'm hoping that it doesn't sound like one of those weedwhacker-sounding exhausts. If it does, then it better make up for that by being really light (which it is) and making lots of power (which I hope it does).
I should find out in a few more weeks (hopefully it's on the next container coming over from Japan).

Installed my single SPugen TI last night. Shaved a little over 30+ lbs off the car. Sounds great and my butt dyno is happy with the results. I use a stretch I have marked off for testing. Nice no car straight.
