Maybe my old oil was just really tired. I just changed to RP for the 1st time yesterday (after 7 months, 1200 miles, and 2 track days on my old oil...with some winter start ups to let it run while in storage). It seems to run a lot smoother and nicer. I had an Autozone gift card from my GF's parents. So it was almost free.
Maybe my old oil was just tired, though. It was Castrol Syntec 10W-30. I usually use Mobil 1. It's cheap at walmart...and I usually change the oil after track events. I get about 1k -2k of street driving before each track event usually.
Maybe i'll try Redline or Amsoil next time. Not that it's going to make a world of difference...it's just freaking oil.
