Default do i use royal purple or is it a waste?

i am wondering if i should go with royal purple motor oil and diff oil... is it worth it? also what weight oil should i use..i was going to go with 5w30 RP engine oil and 75w90 diff oil... just wanted some opinions on this

while I dont think RP is a 'bad' oil.....I dont think its worth what you pay for it.

i can get it for 6 bucks a quart. but depending how much it is, i wouldnt get it over mobile 1

So I think RP is overpriced, and am going with Pennzoil Platinum 5w30, with factory intervals.

For the rear end - LE1605 because it make things soooo much quieter.

but you get 9 extra hp from doing an oil change! lmao!!! yeah... i think RP is overpriced. i buy mobil1 oil for my car.

$6 a quart for RP, or $20 for 5 quarts of mobile1 at wal mart. your choice.

If you're going to pay that much $$ for oil, I'd go with the Redline.
If not, I heard the RP ain't that much different from mobil 1.
Costco has 6 quart boxs for $22 after $8 coupon.
Got one yesterday and changed mine.

I use RP I dont' think its that much more than Mobile 1. I believe RP is a L5 'true' syhn oil whereas Mobile 1 is only a l4 syhn.

in winter I use the recomended 5w40 for lower temps and in the summers i use the recomended 10w30. both have worked great for me so far.
