Hey guys, i replaced my TCT 2 weeks ago because I was getting that aweful ticking sound at idle.

Now, I'm getting another ticking sound, I think I may need a valve adjustment, or is this just regular honda valve chatter?

My S is an '02 with 62K miles. and I'm the 3rd owner so I dont know if a valve adjustment has ever been done.

I get this noise when the motor is both cold and warm.

Does anybody have a sound clip or a video of what a motor that needs a valve adjustment sounds like?

No harm is doing a valve adjustment.. at 62k, I imagine it needs it regardless of whether that's the culprit. It could also be the injectors, which are very noisy.

Take a long screwdriver and touch it to various things with the handle against your ear. Check the injectors. They are pretty loud. Don't poke a belt though.

Hmmmm....ok, I'll check the injectors tonight! I never heard of the injectors being loud. Is this common in the S? Or is it a sign the the fuel injectors are going bad?

no the injectors are loud
my 2007 civic SI with 3,000 miles had loud ass injectors

Yep, honda injectors are just loud.
