That is a ripoff, the parts are about $750 for all OEM, and about 6 hours of labor, so even the stealership charging $125-135/h shouldn't be more than $1,400-1,500 total. I guess they charge list price for the parts and tack on another 40% that's the only way that math adds up.
Either way though, $1500ish is closer to what I've seen quoted before. Labor is freaking expensive.

I can do the whole shebang now in about 4 1/2 hours, I've done it on 3 cars so far. First time on my car, it took me about 12 hours because I didn't know what the hell I was doing, and didn't want to mess anything up. Second time I did it in half the time, and most of the wasted time was spent getting tools. Third time's the charm, I had all the tools and the muscle memory caused by all the pain and suffering involved in doing it
