Any weird noises while trying to let off the pedal?
There is a buzz when letting off the pedal. I am going to get the clutch replaced next weekend at a private shop. The stealership wanted $3400 to put in a new clutch/flywheel.
$3400? Holy hell this makes me really happy that I did my own clutch install with the help of a friend lol. I got a new throwout bearing, pressure plate, and ceramic clutch from Competition Clutch for $490, and then got my flywheel resurfaced at a local shop for $35.

6 hours for the entire process start->finish seems rather optimistic unless the mechanic has done it on an S2000 before.

Either way though, $1500ish is closer to what I've seen quoted before. Labor is freaking expensive.

I can do the whole shebang now in about 4 1/2 hours, I've done it on 3 cars so far. First time on my car, it took me about 12 hours because I didn't know what the hell I was doing, and didn't want to mess anything up. Second time I did it in half the time, and most of the wasted time was spent getting tools. Third time's the charm, I had all the tools and the muscle memory caused by all the pain and suffering involved in doing it
