Default Do i need new bearing cap bolts?

Do i need new bearing cap bolts when reinstalling the crank or is it ok to reuse the old ones? I cant find any info that new bolts is required in the service manual but it cant harm to double check here.

Thanks!

From my understanding you use the same ones unless you go with like arp studs or something along that line. I have used the origanals on all the b series motors i built back in the day

A lot of people use the same bolts. I was rebuilding for FI and couldn't take the risk of a stretched bolt so replaced with new.

yeah all of the B and H series motors i have built i have always used the same bolts and i never had a problem, just make sure u soak them in oil before i put them in.honda motors are real good about using the same bolts but if it was an american motor then u would need to replace them.

Thanks for all input. I decided to order new ones after all. They wasnt very expensive so it isnt worth to gamble.

tehy are not Stretch-to-torque or what ever they are called. the threads are not designed to stretch so they are reuseable. but if they were cheap screw it. buy new ones
