You can also use a heat gun instead of the oven. Indeed, properly shaking the can is important. Most people don't read the instructions on the can, but if you follow them to a "T", it turns out nice.

awesome job. I'd take a sanding pad to the sparkplug cover and give it a bit of metallic shine to the raised letters, it would go real nice with the black surroundings. great work either way
