Run the car up to operating temp
I've always changed my oil at cold temps... is that a bad thing? Whats the reason to warm up to operating temps? any downside?

Old oil flows out better when warm

one more tip for the lazy folks: pour a tad of fresh juice into the motor before putting back the plugs back, the newly added juice will move out the last of the last remaining old oil.

this is perfect since we all have a .5 quart extra

As has been stated, easiest change I've done in a while. Everythings nice and accessible. The only issue I had was getting the old filter off, thus I'd suggest getting a filter wrench. Also order from HandA, great prices and fast shipping.
