Default DIY Alternator belt replacement

(Tried searching and couldn't find anything)

I need to replace my alternator belt and just wanted to check with people before I started. I have had a look in the service manual and I just wanted to check that it was litterally untension the pre- tensioner with a breaker bar and lift the belt off and replace.

Thanks in advance

Yes, that is all it takes. Depending on your intake setup, you may need to remove it to gain access to the auto-tensioner.
