Default Disconnect PCV?

I'm preparing for another HPDE weekend and want to avoid the smokescreen problem - oil through the PCV valve into the intake. Would it be bad to disconnect the PCV tube and cap the port on the intake plenum? Would this cause another problem or a CEL? There would be no vacuum on the PCV vavle, but any pressure would escape through the tube open to the atmosphere. I'd put it back after the event, but it seemm like a quick easy way to avoid the PCV oiling issue at the track. Thanks
